Ethan and Ben perform in Boston to help Filipinos
Last night, October 4, Ben and Ethan performed at the Boston University Filipino Students Association's concert to raise funds and awareness for Gawad Kalinga's work in the Philippines to rebuild communities that have been destroyed by natural disasters. They performed four songs together (including a new one that is being recorded for the new record!) and expressed their support for their fans and friends who live in the Philippines. Ethan said from the stage, "The Click Five has had the privilege of visiting and performing for our fans in Manila several times over the past two years. We have seen first hand the wonderful country that is the Philippines; the good and the bad. We has come to love the Philippines very much, so to have the opportunity to help Gawad Kalinga and their work to help rebuild Filipino communities in need is an honor for me and Ben.” If you would like to support Gawad Kalinga, go to: www.gawadkalinga.org

Ben and Ethan to perform October 4 in Boston to aid GK
Hosted by Boston University’s Filipino Students Association (BUFSA), Kanta at Kalinga is a night dedicated to raising money and awareness for Gawad Kalinga (GK), a charitable organization whose goal is to cultivate self-sustaining communities in impoverished nations.
With a diverse array of both first-time and well-known performers, Kanta at Kalinga aims to entertain and inspire audience members by exposing them to the talents of young artists, all who support GK and what it stands for. It is also BUFSA’s goal to spread awareness about the GK organization to the BU community.
This year, Kanta at Kalinga will feature several performances from young Filipino-American artists including: singer/songwriters Danny Katz and Alfa Garcia; along with up and coming rapper, Ryan “Hydroponikz” Abugan and comedian, Kevin Nadal, who was voted one of People Magazine’s Hottest Bachelors of 2006. Also in store for audience members are Ethan Mentzer and Ben Romans from one of the most popular pop bands in the Philippines, The Click Five.
A major portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Gawad Kalinga organization. Translated into English, Gawad Kalinga means, “to give care.” GK’s main goal is to battle the blatant problem of poverty in the Philippines and all over the world. GK is now in the process of transforming poverty stricken areas in the Philippines, with the goal of building 700,000 homes in 7,000 villages in 7 years.
Kanta at Kalinga will take place on Saturday, October 4th at 7pm at the Tsai Performance Center at 685 Commonwealth Ave. Tickets will be sold the week of September 29th at the GSU Link (775 Commonwealth Ave, Boston, MA) for $10. For more information or if you would like to put tickets on reserve please contact bufsa@bu.edu.

TC5 is a Knockout at the MTV Asia Awards
Congratulations are in order to the band on their recent receipt of the MTV Asia 2008 Knockout Award for their impact on the MTV Asia audience in 2008!
The August 2 show, broadcast live from Malaysia to a worldwide audience, was fantastic as the band collaborated for a unique version of "Empty" with a Malay kompang troupe before launching into an incendiary version of "Jenny" that had the entire Arena of Stars rocking and singing along. If you missed it, you can check it out here
